Parkfield also hosts a Medical Tuition Service (MTS) and provides space for group work sessions run by Torbay Youth Trust.

Welcome to the home of Exmouth RNLI. The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. Celebrating over 200 years as a lifeboat station, Exmouth RNLI operates an inshore D class lifeboat George Bearman II and the new Shannon class lifeboat R and J Welburn. Our volunteer guides are on duty at weekends/school holidays providing free tours of the Station. Pre-booked groups are also welcome. Please see the Visits page for more details. Brandwells Construction was first registered as Brandwells Ltd on 9th April 1973 by Andy Dowden, the current Executive Chairman, and his then senior partner, Joe Whitter. The business was renamed Brandwells Construction Co Ltd before it commenced trading. Andy and Joe had previously worked together at Avonmouth Plant & Construction Co. Ltd (APC) and later at Durnfords Construction Ltd (Durnfords), based in central Bristol. After starting their own business, they secured early contracts with English and Continental Homes Ltd, Bovis Homes Ltd and United Bristol Hospitals Trust (UBHT). Tragically, Joe passed away in 1975, leaving Andy in sole charge. With the support of Arthur East, who had joined the Company as Secretary from Durnfords, the Company survived this major setback. John Stafford, the son of one of Joe’s close friends, joined the company and is still a Director and Shareholder today. In the 1980s, the company expanded to include South West Decorating Services Ltd (SWDS) to undertake decorating work for UBHT and Bristol City Council. In 1986, Brandwells Construction moved to its current freehold office and yard at Church Lane, St. George. The company has continued to grow, adding new clients and concentrating more on groundwork. Notable projects include the South Liberty Trading Estate for M P Kent and the Urban Renewal project at Baltic Wharf, Cumberland Road, Bristol. Brandwells Construction has established itself as one of the foremost groundworks contractors in the South West, with preferred contractor status with many major housing developers. In 2022, the company opened a South West Regional office at Alphington, Exeter, and achieved a record turnover of over £62 million.

Gorilla Grounds and Gardens grew from the exterior cleaning business (Extra Hands) started in 2013. That business flourished, winning local business awards and recognition for its levels of customer care, innovation and customer satisfaction. It has become well known across Devon. Customers asked me again and again if I could do garden related tasks for them. "Can you sort out my hedges?" or "My fence needs replacing – would you do it?" and "My lawn needs looking after. Can you do it?" It makes sense for my customers to use a business they already know and trust. But… I had to turn that work down and focus on building my outdoor cleaning business. The World Changed. With the outdoor cleaning business established and my trusted team in place, the time is now right. We took on grounds and garden related tasks for some established customers in mid-2019. Fences, hedges, pergolas, lawns. And now our on-going grounds maintenance has grown as a result. We get it right and keep it right! I am delighted to proudly establish Gorilla Grounds and Gardens. Doing It Right. I’ve invested in the right equipment, put the right team together and can now offer these services beyond my established customers.
