Welcome to Apex Building and Groundwork, based in Newbury Berkshire we are a family run business with over 30 years of experience in the infrastructure, building and construction industry. We carry out all types of building work including groundwork, new builds, extensions, renovations and conversions.

Working within both the commercial and domestic markets we constantly deliver a high quality professional service before, during and after any contract we take on. Each contract is project managed by our skilled tradesmen, guaranteeing the smooth running of every project as it develops. We recognise that our staff are crucial to our success, we request and take account of their ideas and views, which we find improves the service and standard of each and every job we take on.

Apex has its own in-house Small Works Division consisting of a small but dedicated team of multi-skilled tradesmen which services the needs of smaller projects such as paths, drives, patio’s and vehicle crossover’s. It also supports the maintenance requirements of any of our larger completed projects as required.

We invest in the training of our employees and take pride in the skills and expertise they gain from it. Our customers can be confident that our workforce will not only be expert in their trade but will also be up-to-date in new developments and techniques pertaining to their trade.

We are also aware of our responsibilities towards the implementation of onsite health and safety procedures. All of our staff are trained in health and safety standards and are properly equipped to carry out the job in a safe and vigilant way. We carry out regular reviews and toolbox talks to ensure that we continue to work safely.

Apex Building and Groundwork are approved contractors for a number of public sector clients including colleges, schools, local authorities and housing associations. Our private sector clients include national house builders, property developers, major construction contractors and last but not least our numerous domestic customers.

We are covered by public liability insurance for £10m and employer’s liability insurances for £5m. We can provide risk assessments and method statements documents when required, whether we are working as a subcontractor or main contractor.
