Have you just noticed a scratch or a chip in your flooring? Many people think that you need a whole new floor, but you don’t. We can replace or fill the affected area without having to re do the whole floor.
Some floors may need some sub floor preparation before your new floor can be fitted. Timber subfloors may need old floor boards secured or replaced, and in some cases plywood fitted on top to make it flat and more suitable to take the new floor. Concrete floors should be smooth and level, so may need some smoothing or self levelling compound poured first.
Hardwood and engineered flooring is more natural floor compared to laminate and a lot warmer on the foot, also the tones, knots and variety’s are not man made so gives a more authentic look. these types of flooring can be fitted click or tongue and groove. Tongue and groove flooring can be laid floating, secret nailed or fully bonded down to the subfloor.
Parquet flooring or Herringbone flooring is a traditional style of flooring that comes in hardwood, but nowadays the larger planks can be installed with engineered wood, laminate and LVT making it suitable for a wide variety of settings.
Laminate flooring is widely available for all budgets and comes in many different colours, sizes and designs. Some laminates come with the AC5 rating, which means water resistant, meaning it can handle occasional splashes or spills. However, it is not entirely waterproof.
Being 100% water resistant, very durable, and easy to clean, Luxury Vinyl Tiles have became a very popular choice for areas like toilets, hallways and kitchens where there are often the risk of water or wet shoes. LVT tiles can be fitted straight plank, tiles and herringbone.
